Montoya welding announces Montoya Foundation

Montoya Foundation is the Montoya family’s philanthropic organization, founded in 2026 by Raul Montoya (b. 2002). Established with a commitment, our mission is to advance human well-being by standing with people and communities, recognizing strengths, meeting essential needs, and expanding the conditions for safety, stability, and dignity. Our first priority is dismantling learning barriers, so access to education is a guarantee, not a privilege.

Here’s how Montoya Foundation is starting 2026:

We’re researching and developing a 9-12 grades leadership curriculum built for 3, 4, and 5 day intensives. The focus is practical skill, not hype: critical thinking, decision-making, communication, and follow-through.

We’re pairing that with a college application pathway that is step-by-step and mentor-supported. Undergraduate students will serve as near-peer mentors to help high school students plan timelines, complete applications, write strong materials, and navigate financial aid, especially for first-generation students.

We’re also integrating psychoeducation to strengthen coping and reduce stigma. These sessions will translate evidence-backed mental health concepts into language students can use, with clear guidance on when and how to seek support.

And we’re building a free, clinician-backed online mental health resource site so students and families can access reliable tools without cost or confusion.

Curriculum, mentorship, and accessible resources, designed for adoption and outcomes.
